Battery Inspection Service

The battery in your Ford is built to last, but even high-quality batteries will eventually die. As time passes, your vehicle’s battery will become less capable of holding a charge and can potentially become corrosive. Once your vehicle’s battery no longer has enough electricity to send it to the starter, your vehicle will be unable to start. Rather than crossing your fingers and hoping today won’t be the day you’re left stranded and in need of a jump start, head to Groove Ford for a battery test. Our certified technicians will thoroughly inspect your battery to review:

  • Battery terminals for corrosion
  • Ensure all connections are strong
  • Look for signs of faulty wires
  • Tests your charge levels

Signs of a Dying Battery

Not sure if it’s time to replace your battery? Like all parts, batteries run their course. Most will last up to five years, depending on conditions and how often you drive. How do I jump-start my car?

First, make sure both vehicles' engines are off and the cars are parked. Attach red positive clips to the positive terminal (+) on each car’s battery. Then attach the black negative clip to the negative post (-) on your battery. Take the remaining black negative clamp and attach it to a metal surface on your car. Try starting your vehicle a few times and if it starts, make sure to drive around for at least 15 minutes. If that doesn’t work, contact us for help getting a new battery.

How often should I get my Ford’s battery inspected?
