2012 Ford F-150

Historically, the Ford F-150 pickup has been the most popular compact truck in its class. This year, the new and improved 2012 Ford F-150 picks up where its predecessors left off. This year's F-150 pickup comes in six traditional models - the F-150 XL, F-150 XLT, F-150 Lariat, Harley-Davidson F-150, King Ranch F-150, and the SVT F-150 Lightning - as well as two new models - the F-150 STX, and the F-150 Heritage Edition. All of these models come with available Regular Cab (which seats two), Super Cab (which seats four), or 2012 F-150 Ford SuperCrew cab (which seats as many as six). Whichever F-150 is right for you, you can bet you'll learn more about it here. Denver Ford dealer, Groove Ford is your premier dealership to get all the information that you need to know about the all new F-150.

A peek under the hood of the 2012 F-150 Ford SuperCrew reveals that this year's F-150 pickup trucks come with three basic engines. Regular cab models come standard with 4.2-liter, V-6 Split Port Intake OHV SEFI that produces 202 horsepower at 4,800 rpm, and 252 pounds-per-foot of torque at 3,400 rpm. Super cab models come standard with 4.6-liter, Triton V-8 SOHC SEFI that produces 231 horsepower at 4,750 rpm, and 293 pounds-per-foot of torque at 3,500 rpm. SuperCrew cab models come standard with 5.4-liter, Triton V-8 SOHC SEFI that produces 260 horsepower at 4,500 rpm, and 350 pounds-per-foot of torque at 2,500 rpm. All vehicles offer sequential electronic fuel injection, power rack-and-pinion steering, five-speed manual transmissions, gas- pressurized front and rear shocks, and four-wheel anti-lock brakes. Lastly, the most powerful of the Ford F-150 trucks has a towing capacity of up to 15,000 pounds, a truly remarkable statistic if you consider that the truck itself only weighs about 8,000 pounds.

Trucks aren't usually stocked with amenities, but a sheet of 2012 Ford F-150 specs for exterior and interior features reads like a dream list. On the outside, these new Ford trucks offer chrome front and rear bumpers, box rail and tailgate moldings, parking lamps, tie-down hooks, pick-up boxes, running boarda and step bars. On the inside, these posh amenities continue, including features such as front cloth benches, split-folding rear seats, eletronic automatic temperature control, speed control, tilt steering wheel, rear window defroster, cup holders, power windows, underhood lights, and a power sliding rear window. When you drive a Ford F-150, you're not just driving a Ford truck, you're driving in luxury.

Believe it or not, you're also driving in one of the safest vehicles known to man. The Ford F-150 repeatedly wins awards for being the safest pickup in its class; 2012 Ford F-150 reviews indicate that this year's model is no exception. Standard safety features on this year's truck consist of: LATCH child restraint system, Second Generation driver and passenger airbags, SecuriLock passive anti-theft system, and remote keyless entry.
